Meet the team
Lisa Burnett, Amanda Varin, Riley Flock and Kiana Moore are all the founders of Butch’s Bites. Read below to learn more about them.

Lisa grew up in the small farming town of Buckley, Washington. She was an active member of the local FFA chapter and that was where she began questioning how food was produced and where it came from. These questions have helped to create Butch’s Bites. Lisa is also vegan, so she contributes in building and planning the vegetarian and vegan options offered. Lisa is majoring in strategic communication with an emphasis on public relations. She aspires to have a career in public relations. In her free time Lisa enjoys playing fetch with her cat Hadley. Lisa would describe herself as a crazy cat lady because she is very enthusiastic about her cat and would love to have more.
Amanda is from Kennewick, Washington. She is majoring in strategic communication with a focus on public relations. After graduation she wants to work as a social media manager. She values fresh and healthy food and wanted to bring something to the Pullman community that was high quality, while also being tasty. Butch’s Bites satisfies this by bringing fresh ingredients to the gourmet food truck. Amanda brings organization and planning to the team, as well as social media sites. In her free time, Amanda enjoys traveling, sporting events, yoga, and of course, Butch’s Bites.

Riley is from Shoreline, Washington. He is currently enrolled at WSU studying strategic communication with focus in Public Relations. He loves cooking and wants to bring that option of healthy fast food to students at WSU. He values eating good tasting, enjoyable food with healthy options. Running a food truck with healthy options and the same quick service as a fast food restaurant, he plans to satisfy students all over campus and Greek row. In his free time Riley loves to play hockey, skateboarding, editing videos, traveling, and work on improving him and his team’s fast growing food truck.
Kiana is from a small town in Washington called Fife. She values great tasting all-American food with good friends. She wanted that to be available to the community of Pullman where she goes to college. Having healthy options was important to her and she knew it was also important to those who live in the area and wanted to give a food truck experience that was meant for everyone. A fun fact about her is that she has a jack Russell toy fox terrier mix named Kiska. She is an advertising major who brings creativity to the team and a want to serve the community that she loves!
